MEET DYLAN CUMMINGS, LCSW
I'm here to help you rediscover life's beauty.
How I work:
Life can feel overwhelming, messy, and uncertain—but you don’t have to navigate it alone. With over eight years of experience as a therapist, I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and families facing life’s challenges. I have extensive experience supporting teens, and I understand the unique struggles they navigate. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each individual—I don’t assume to know exactly what you’re thinking or feeling, but I believe people are doing their best with the tools they have.
My therapeutic style is flexible, drawing from different modalities to find what works best for you. I use a strengths-based and person centered approach, keeping you - not your problems - in focus. I believe therapy is a team effort—you bring your experiences, and I bring tools to help you make sense of things. Using approaches like CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care, I’ll help you manage emotions, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and build skills to handle life’s challenges with more confidence.

Change is tough, even when it leads to something better.
I want you to know that no matter where you are in your journey, you don’t have to go it alone. Let’s figure it out together.
You're here because you’re ready to be seen, heard, and supported.
I work with a range of concerns, including grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, difficult change, gender identity and sexuality, and relationship stress. Whether we’re identifying coping strategies, managing stress, processing emotions, or shifting unhelpful thoughts, my priority is to create a supportive space where you feel heard and understood. I believe the connection between therapist and client is one of the most important factors in therapy success, and I strive to build a trusting and meaningful relationship with each person I work with.
Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing on you, honor your story, and help you move toward a place of greater clarity, self-compassion, and peace. I believe therapy is a team effort—you bring your experiences, and I bring tools to help you make sense of things. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care, I’ll help you manage emotions, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and build skills to handle life’s challenges with more confidence.
You already carry more answers than you know.
Oftentimes we know the answers deep down. We just need a little digging to get there. Having someone who can show you the tools will make it all the easier.
The first step is a quick conversation to see if we are a good fit. From there, we schedule our first meeting where we go over what brings you to therapy. During this visit we may go over your past to provide context for the present. At this point we discuss an approach that may work best for you and continue at your pace.
